Training
The Department offers training sessions to help trades people working in the field of new constructions broaden their knowledge of the Novoclimat program. In doing so, they shall receive accreditation papers and be able to put Novoclimat technical requirements into practice in order to meet increasing consumer demand for energy efficient products.
The Department called upon various trades people and associations from the housing industry to be able to adequately meet the demand for Novoclimat training sessions. As a result, professionals involved in the construction of new homes will be able to receive training sessions from different collaborators.

General Novoclimat training for building contractors
This training session is mainly offered to contractors and trades people working in the field of new housing construction.
In acquiring these new skills, contractors will be able to request their Novoclimat accreditation. The training session lasts 2 days:
- Day 1: Building envelope
- Day 2: Ventilation
The training session is open to everyone, including do-it-yourself builders. However, only contractors holding one of the appropriate RBQ licenses, 1.1.1 or 1.1.2, can request and receive Novoclimat accreditation and be able to certify homes. The General Novoclimat training session for building contractors is offered by the APCHQ, La garantie Qualité Habitation and La Garantie des Maîtres Bâtisseurs.

Accreditation
Novoclimat training for ventilation experts
This training session is mainly offered to ventilation experts in the field of new housing construction. Some general contractors may also follow the ventilation training.
Only ventilation experts holding one of the appropriate RBQ licenses, 15.1 or 15.8, may receive accreditation.
This training session is mandatory for ventilation experts who are required to work on multiple unit projects part of the Novoclimat program for dwelling units.
The Novoclimat training session for ventilation experts is offered by the Corporation of Master Pipe Mechanics of Québec (CMMTQ) and the Corporation des entreprises de traitement de l’air et du froid (CETAF).

Accreditation
Novoclimat training for professionals (architects and engineers)
This training session is mainly intended for architects and engineers involved in new multiple unit housing projects. Other interested participants such as managers of residential housing inventory and builders wishing to learn more about the Novoclimat program are also welcome.
Only architects and engineers who successfully complete the evaluation shall receive a Novoclimat certificate for professionals.

Novoclimat training for teachers
This training session is based on the same content as the General Novoclimat training session. It solely targets persons in the field of education wishing to train a group of teachers. Teachers receive an acknowledgement of participation but are not eligible for accreditation.
